Soldiers beat and arrest driver for giving money to prisoner in a moving van

The Nigerian soldier has arrested a man for giving a prisoner money in a moving van in Ekiti.

According to the report, a moving van where prisoners are being trailed in transporting to court and the judgement ground were interrupted by a middle aged man driver and was heavily punished by the crew.

Apparently, irked by such unsolicited gesture, the armed security men attached to the wagon conveying the inmates pounced on the driver beating the living day light out of him and took him away.

This scene generated a huge traffic on the road where everyone silently wait for the intruder being disciplined by the law enforcer and was later took away.

Foluso Babalola who is the Public Relation Officer of the Nigeria Facility said ‘The incident was allegedly committed by the driver and the action was against the Law’.

He said the taxi driver had committed a traffic offence as what he gave to the inmates may be used to escape or cause any act inimical to operations of the facility.

He forwarded in saying the driver will be charged to court soon and would be punished as stated by the law.
